The idea of painting this famous dog was suggested by Dean Leibrecht, a friend and city cop who was joining the K9 unit. I don't generally donate original works to charity (my kids like to eat) but it sounded like a great idea. Moneys raised by the Torch Run go to Special Olympics. The painting of Cyr titled "Sacrifice" sold for $4,200.00 at the Torch Run's annual auction. |
