The
most successful people I know have a gift for keeping their goals in
sight as they deal with the day to day disorder of life. One of my
greatest challenges has been dealing with the business end of this
business and still making art a priority. It is so easy to spend a day
answering emails, phone calls, and doorbells, writing advertisements,
planning classes and paying bills only to realize, as the days end draws
near, that the most important thing didn’t get the time that it
requires. Then the door opens and my wife or one of the girls comes in
and I realize that the most important thing isn’t the art after all. |
