2009 Harley Davidson CVO Ultra Classic Electra Glide/2008 Harley Davidson Road King Classic – Anniversary Edition

Last year I was commissioned to paint two portraits, both involving Harleys and the people who ride them.  Painting those portraits turned out to be the most fun I've had creating art in several years.  After doing a little research I learned that portraits of family members painted by professional artists stay in a family for generations, longer than any other type of art.  I can't help but think that these portraits are not only a great way to further enjoy what we love to ride, but a fantastic way to pass on to future generations a little bit of who we are and what we are about.

A commissioned portrait of you and your favorite Activity or Ride; Cars, Trucks, Horses, Bikes, Boats or RV's!
What defines you? What do you love to do! It could be that you are better defined by a painting of you on the fairway (or maybe looking for your ball in the rough).  The point is, you are more than just how you look, and for that reason these portraits tell future generations more about who you are than the typical "Stand in front of a backdrop you've never seen before and smile" kind of portrait.

You will cherish a portrait like this for years, while your family will cherish it for generations.  After fifteen years as a professional artist I know what it will take to make sure that a portrait will survive all of us for generations.  There is much more to it than just the physical survival of the work, but let me worry about that.

HOW WILL YOU BE REMEMBERED?

As of January 9th, I will paint only three more "What Moves Us" Portraits at $7.50 sq/in and then the price goes up to $8.50 sq/in for the next five commissions.

January 25th - two left at $7.50 sq/in
February 4th - one left at $7.50 sq/in

7.50 sq/in is:
24x18 - $3240.00
30x20 - $4500.00
36x24 - $6480.00

February 10th - the next five will now be sold at $8.50 sq/inch
April 2nd - three left at $8.50 sq/inch

24x18 - $3672.00
30x20 - $5100.00
36x24 - $7344.00

To get your portrait at the current price a deposit of 25% must be paid.  This way the price can be locked in for those who have their "Toys" in storage till spring and can't get photos taken till then.  The remainder of the price is due upon delivery of the finished work of art.

I prefer to take the photos myself but a very good quality high-res photo might work. (I'm very picky)  Arrangements can be made to have a photographer in your area take some shots.
