Actually, despite the long association with wisdom, this bird is far from the most intelligent creature in the wild. It is, however, a remarkably efficient hunter, perfectly adapted to night hunting. Adaptation could, of course, be said to be a form of wisdom. Taking the experience of the past and reforming it to fit new situations and new opportunities.
